Harris County Attorney (Unexpired Term)
Unexpired term following Christian Menefee's departure for the U.S. House. Commissioners Court appointed Abbie Kamin, then a Houston City Council member (District C), as interim county attorney effective June 15, 2026. Kamin won the Democratic primary over Judge Audrie Lawton Evans (50.56%). Lucci Smith was unopposed in the Republican primary.
